This is the official Privacy Policy for TogetherGreen, a national initiative of the National Audubon Society, Inc. (“Audubon”). TogetherGreen aims to provide the inspiration, leadership and opportunities for people everywhere to take conservation actions in their homes, their communities, and beyond to improve the health of the environment we share. This Privacy Policy applies only to information gathered through this site and is designed to help you understand how we collect and use the personal information you decide to share, and to help you make informed decisions when using TogetherGreen,

Normal Website Usage

You can visit most portions of without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information. The only information we collect from a normal web site visit is the name of your internet service provider, the browser and type of machine you are using, the web site that referred you to us, the pages you request and the date and time you request them. We use this information to generate statistics and measure site activity to improve the usefulness of the site to our visitors.

Audubon does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register as users. If you choose to e-mail a page of our site to a friend, in most circumstances we do not have access to and do not collect any personally identifiable information regarding you or your friend. On certain pages of the site, we need to have access to your and your friend's e-mail addresses temporarily to send the e-mail. This information is deleted as soon as the e-mail is sent and is not used for any other purpose.

We occasionally have third parties perform services on our behalf, such as marketing and analytics. These third parties have access to your personal information only as needed to perform their services for Audubon and are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of the personal information.

IP Addresses and Cookies

Audubon and certain third parties acting on our behalf use various Internet technologies to help us to manage our site operations and track usage behavior so that we can tailor information to make your visits more enjoyable and meaningful. These Internet technologies include:

IP Addresses: random numbers assigned to individual computers which Audubon uses to administer the site and help diagnose problems with our servers.

Children 13 and Under
