There are certain locations within the Shoreline Park where the hummingbirds are easier to spot. It’s always a highlight of my walk when I can see at least one hummingbird either perched on a branch or zipping around in the air. On one particular walk, a hummingbird seemed to follow me for most of the way. At one point, he flew ahead and perched in a shrub, waiting for me to catch up to him. As I approached, I pulled out my camera so that I could get a photograph. As I looked through the lens of my camera, I could see him staring back at me. The expression on his little face made me smile. I had found a new friend.
